10:10, A SPECIAL GREEN DRINKS INVITATION

Transition Town Langport would like you to join an informal discussion about the relationship between the values of ‘transition’ and a resilient local economy, in the Langport area.

Leading the discussion will be experts in transition and those with knowledge of our local economy. Tuesday 26th January 7.30 to 9.00p.m. Loulou’s Wine Bar, North Street, Langport TA10 9RQ (Top bar).

“I suggest the main concern of the movement (sic) be developing the town’s economic self-sufficiency and building a radically new economy within our town and running it to meet our needs”.  Ted Trainer, author of ‘Renewable energy cannot sustain a consumer society’

(This event is the first in a series of ten Transition Town Langport events for 10:10 – the challenge to us all to reduce our carbon emissions by 10% in 2010.)
