3 Seminars + Save the Bees
Dear TTL,
Save the bees!
Albert Einstein is supposed to have said:
“If the bee disappeared off the surface of the globe then man would only have four years of life left. No more bees, no more pollination, no more plants, no more animals, no more man.

Dates for your diary – three new events!
The next three seminars held by South West Rural Update will be:
Water – “our most important resource” Tuesday 20th October 2009, Royal Agricultural College.
Rain harvesting ~ the options available for rural business and local agricultural when managing their water, looking at both the financial and the environmental savings.
Transition Farms Tuesday 10th November 2009, Sandy Park Conference Centre, Exeter.
“Agriculture 2050 – a day considering the options for local agricultural & food production after fossil fuels have run out and climate change is really here, practical solutions to use now.”
Succession and Diversification for Rural Business Monday 7th December 2009, Royal Agricultural College.
“A day considering the options for rural business and farmers when planning for their families’ future.”
A flyer is attached giving further information about each seminar and a booking form which can be used for any or all of the events is also included for your convenience.
The Transition Farms event is a near repeat of the very successful seminar held last month. Rob Hopkins, Transition Network has kindly agreed to chair the day and we hope to have more emphases on what we can do now with some more current working examples and workshops. Please note I already have 20 delegate bookings for this event and we were oversubscribed for the last one. Members will be given priority until the end of August but to avoid disappointment please make your booking as soon as possible.
Please accept my apologies for any cross postings. I would be grateful, if you could forward this on to anyone that you feel would find the events of interest.
If you require any further information please do not hesitate to contact me and I look forward to seeing you shortly.
Kind regards
Beverley
